Holy Trinity Auction
18th Annual Auction
Save the Date! This year’s Auction, themed Adventures in Candyland will take place Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Airport Hyatt.
Holy Trinity School holds both large and small fundraisers that contribute to its annual operating budget. Since its inception as a fundraiser 17 years ago, this event has generated over $570,000! Last year, the Auction was the school’s largest fundraiser.
What is the Auction?
The evening consists of Live and Silent Auctions, a Chinese Auction and assorted raffles, as well as appetizers and dinner for the attendees. The Live Auction is as it sounds – a genuine auctioneer encourages bids from attendees in the room on a select group of items. Last year’s Live Auction items included a week-long stay in Orlando, a Ben Roethlisberger autographed football, dinner for 8 with a personal chef, 4 tickets “On the Glass” to a Penguins game and a photo collage blanket created by the 8th grade class!
Past Live Auction items included a week-long stay at Seven Springs, the entire collection of Wine Spectator’s 2014 Top Ten Wines, autographed Mike Eruzione jersey, weekend stay at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis, Lynn Swann autographed football, 4 tickets “On the Glass” to a Penguins game and bookshelves decorated by the kindergarten class!
Silent Auction items are bid on using your smartphone or tablet and include overnight stays at area hotels, restaurant gift cards, tickets to sporting events and theater shows.
Parents are asked to sell advance tickets for the Grand Raffle and the 50/50 Raffle; winners are drawn at the Auction & need not be present.
Your help is needed in many different forms as we prepare for this year’s fundraiser! Adventures in Candyland will again feature the popular Wine Raffle. Donate a bottle of wine (red or white) valued at $15 or more to fill the Wine Wall. Donations at all Meet and Greet Nights - Aug 21, Aug 23 or Aug 28!
The proceeds from our Auction represent a significant component of the annual operating budget of our elementary school. Since its inception as a fundraiser seventeen years ago, this event has generated approximately $570,000. The evening consists of Live and Silent Auctions, a Chinese Auction, and assorted raffles, as well as appetizers and dinner for the attendees. All of the items auctioned are donated by businesses in our surrounding communities and by our school families.
Holy Trinity Catholic School provides a faith-based elementary education for students in preschool through eighth grade. Currently, our 438 enrolled students live in the neighboring communities of Robinson Township, North Fayette Township, Moon Township, Findlay Township, Coraopolis, Imperial, McDonald, Oakdale, Green Tree, Crafton, Scott Township, and the City of Pittsburgh.
Our Community (YOU!!)
Please consider helping Holy Trinity Catholic School with a tax-deductible donation of goods, services, or a monetary gift. As discussed above, there are different aspects to the evening: Live and Silent Auctions, a Chinese Auction and Raffles. As such, items large and small, including gift cards of any dollar value, are greatly appreciated. Your donation would provide a unique opportunity to advertise to our school families and Auction attendees, reminding them of existing businesses or introducing those that are new. Upon request, we will provide a tax receipt for your records.
If you prefer to make a monetary gift to help underwrite the cost of the Auction, please choose from one of the following patron levels:
- $200 Patron – Autographed Sports Memorabilia
- $100 Patron – Raffle Prize
- $75 – Silent Auction Basket
- $50 – Restaurant Gift Card
- $25 – Chinese Auction Item
Please make checks payable to "Holy Trinity School Auction." All patrons will be listed on the Auction website and leaderboard display.
On behalf of the children, parents and faculty at Holy Trinity Catholic School, thank you for your generosity!
